What Is Profhilo?

Profhilo is an injectable skin remodelling treatment made from one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available in any aesthetic product. Hyaluronic acid is a substance your body produces naturally — it is what keeps your skin plump, hydrated and elastic when you are young. As we age, our natural production slows down, and the skin begins to lose that youthful bounce.

Unlike dermal fillers, which add volume to specific areas, Profhilo spreads through the skin tissue and works at a deeper level. It stimulates the production of four different types of collagen and elastin, essentially encouraging your skin to remodel and rejuvenate itself from within. The result is skin that looks and feels genuinely healthier, not just temporarily plumped.

What Does Profhilo Treat?

Profhilo is particularly well suited to treating skin laxity (particularly on the face, neck, décolletage and hands), fine lines caused by loss of hydration and elasticity, dull or tired-looking skin that lacks radiance, and crepey skin texture especially around the jawline and under the eyes.

It is one of the few treatments we recommend for clients who want an overall improvement in skin quality rather than correction of a specific line or area. Many of our clients describe it as their skin looking like a better, fresher version of itself.

How Is Profhilo Administered?

Profhilo is injected at five specific points on each side of the face, following what is called the BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique. This precise placement allows the product to spread evenly through the tissue and deliver consistent results across the whole treatment area.

The treatment takes around 20 to 30 minutes. Most clients find it very comfortable, and any redness or small bumps at the injection sites typically settle within a few hours.

A course of Profhilo consists of two sessions, spaced four weeks apart. Most people begin to notice an improvement in skin texture and hydration after the first session, with the full result visible around four weeks after the second treatment. We then recommend a maintenance session every six months to sustain the results.

Who Is Profhilo Suitable For?

Profhilo works well for a wide range of clients, typically from the mid-30s onwards, though we do see excellent results in clients in their 50s and 60s who are experiencing more significant skin laxity. It is also an excellent option for clients who are not ready for more intensive treatments but want to do something meaningful to support their skin health.
